Work
It's Friday but I worked anyhow. Today was in Ebisu. It's the second day of Golden Week and a which is a string of holidays in Japan and many people leave Tokyo to take advantage of the 7-11 days off depending on how your plan your vacation. It's weird cause a lot of Tokyo is much more empty than usual and many stores have sales.

Day off
Today I met up with Mio in Meguro for lunch. After that I headed home and then we met up in Roppongi. We went to Tofuro for dinner which is a cool Japanese style restaurant based off a restaurant from the Edo period. The style was really cool and the food was great. After that we headed to Donki and I got an ink cartridge for my printer and headed home.

Busy day
Headed to Shinjuku this morning for an hour lesson and then headed to Ebisu. The weather was nice today so it wasn't that busy and I finished early. From there I headed to Roppongi and got my phone that is now refurbished. It's like a new phone but it's old. From there I headed home and then in the evening I headed to Ebisu again where I met up with a friend for dinner at a chinese restaurant there. It was good, cheap, and the Gyoza were great.

Work and phone stuff
Headed to work like usual and then headed to the Softbank store after work cause my phone was repaired. The girl missed what I said the first time about how I wanted my phone refurbished so the internal problem was taken care of but the outside still looked a little beat up. Then when she was moving the memory card from the loaner phone to my phone she broke the memory card cover on the new phone so I let her keep it and get the refurbishing done which I wanted done in the first place. I think she might have broken it on purpose to get me to come back to the shop.

Work
Work like usual. There is a movie out now called "My darling is a foreigner". It's based off a book written by some lady who married a foreign guy which was later made into a Manga and now a movie. It gives insights on what foreign people think about Japan and looks pretty interesting.

Work and phone stuff
Work like usual but I finished a little early and headed to the Softbank store in Roppongi. I've been having some problems with my phone which is now almost 2 years old where it would shut off for no reason. I got to the store and was greeted by a girl there who spoke English. Most of the staff in the Roppongi store speak English but for whatever reason it really caught me off guard. Anyhow, she was really nice and helpful and fun to joke around with. I left my phone with her and she backed up all my data and transferred it to a loaner phone before letting me go.

Work and chinese food
Headed to Naka-Meguro in the morning and saw a R34 and then headed to work in Tamachi. After work some friends and I headed to a chinese place in the area. It was hidden and couldn't be accessed directly from the street. There was a small gate you had to duck through which lead to an open area where the restaurant was. It looked pretty cool from outside and the inside was like being in an old house. We noticed a spelling error on the menu for recommended items as well. After that we headed to 82 Ale for a drink and then headed home.

Party
For some reason it was super cold today and even snowed a bit at night. In the evening I met up with Dave and we headed out to a party at another friend's house near Shinagawa. Around 12 most of the people left with up to continue the party at Dave's house. Good times.

Lunch with a friend and work
Headed to Yurakucho and met up with a friend at Copain Copine, a Korean restaurant. It was pretty good and my friend wound up copying me and ordering BiBinba. It was pretty good. Around 1:00 she headed back to work and I headed home. In the evening I went to work like usual and then home.

Food and work
Headed to the US Embassy here in Tokyo to get my passport renewed. It's pretty bug and super high security. I couldn't bring my camera, cell phone, or Nintendo DS inside. I was kind of expecting it to be really cool inside like in the movies, but it was more like a big DMV. Lame. Anyhow, the whole process took less than an hour to turn in the forms pay the $70 and submit the old passport. Once I get my new passport I'll finally be able to visit all those middle eastern countries that wouldn't let me in before cause of my Israel stamp.
When I got home I passed a stand that was selling fresh Melon Bread. So I got one and it was soo good. The top was crispy like it should be and the inside was soft and warm. It was perfect. Around dinner time I headed back to the same stand and got another one just cause they were so good.

Work
My printer is currently out of commission so I headed up to school to print some stuff and then stopped over at the post office to get a return envelope for my passport which I'll be renewing tomorrow. From there I headed to ToToDoN for lunch and then stopped over at the FedEx store to mail some footage from one of my videos out. Fedex has a really cool marketing thing going on now where they make their staff look like super heroes. It's sweet. The BBC will be using some of the footage I shot in one of their upcoming videos and gave me their account info to ship it over to them.
In the evening I had work like usual and then went home.

Work
Headed to Shinjuku this morning to meet with one of my private students and then headed to work in Ebisu. The weather was great today and Yoshinoya for lunch was also great. I know I've said it before, but Yoshinoya makes the best fast food Gyudon. The rice is better and the beef is American, plus the onions are like butter. It's soo good.

Cherry Blossoms and work
Headed to Shinjuku Gyoen today to check out the cherry blossoms there. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the park so it's much quieter than other parks in Tokyo at this time of year. There were still a lot of people there and it's 200 yen to get in so there are no homeless people there.
From there I headed to Tamachi got ToToDoN for dinner and then headed to work.

Hanami and Party
Today I headed to Shinmaruko where I met up with Dave and some other friends. From there we took a bus to a park in Kawasaki for "Hanami" which directly translated means flower viewing. This is the Japanese tradition of enjoying food and alcohol under the cherry blossoms. A bar owner that my friend Dave knows was hosting the party which included drinks and food. I think we were there for four or five hours. Near the park was a big gym and when I went inside to use the bathroom I saw a karate tournament going on. It was a lot like Karate Kid and the one guy kept on trying to sweep the leg.

Party
Today is Friday. My day off where I spend the morning and afternoon doing laundry and cleaning my room. In the evening I met up with two of my friends in Tennozu Isle. I had to take the Tokyo Monorail to get there. It's pretty old and slow but actually offers a great view of the city, especially the Tamachi area. Got to the party which was at a penthouse apartment on the 12th floor and you could even go on the roof. It was really cool cause it offered a great view of the city and I met some cool people.
The new Train manners poster is out for this month. The posters this month promote good behavior instead of discouraging negative behavior. Wonder if one style is more effective than the other.
