School

School like usual. We had a guest speaker come in for negotiations again so that was interesting and in the evening some friends and I went out for a bit which turned out to be much longer than originally planned.

School and work

Headed to school like usual and then to work after. It's hot. Been listening to Michael Jackson a lot and occasionally moonwalking in the subway stations.

Work and homework

Today I had work in Shinjuku and when I left in the morning the sky looked ok and I didn't look at the forecast so I didn't bring an umbrella. After I got there it started to rain and I needed to buy an umbrella when I left for lunch but after I finished for the day the rain had stopped. Rainy season sucks! When I got home, I worked on Biology homework and then went to bed.

Work and party again?

Headed to Takehito's on no sleep and after his lesson taught 8 lessons at work. I was super tired. There was a work party for two people who are leaving so I went home, changed, and headed back out for the party. We went to an Izakaya (Japanese style Bar/Restaurant). After that some of the people suggested Karaoke and I went home and went to bed.

School and party

School like usual. My friend Mason is leaving Japan soon and called me up telling me to go out. I usually stay in on Friday since Saturday is usually a busy day for me, but since he is leaving soon, I let him talk me into it. A bunch of friends and I met up in Roppongi and went to a club till morning. The bad thing was that by the time I got home, it was almost time for work so I only had time for a shower, and breakfast before heading to work.

School and walking around

Today I had the midterm for computers and it was a written midterm in which we couldn't use the computer. There were a lot of weird questions on it that seemed quite out of place. I finished the test quite quickly so some of my friends and I walked around. We saw a condom vending machine on the street which is the first time I have seen one of those and then headed back to school. In the afternoon I had the negotiations midterm which I think went well and then headed home.

School and work

School like usual and then I headed to work. I usually go to the combini before work to grab a drink before work and they always have new stuff there. Today I tried Shiso Pepsi. Shiso is a plant found in Japan that has a minty taste and is usually used as a garnish with Japanese food. It just tastes like Pepsi with leaves thrown in. Not recommended, but I guess it's better than the Cucumber Pepsi they had a couple years ago.

School

School like usual. After negotiation class one of my friends and I headed to Paprikahu which is a Hungarian restaurant near school that opened recently. It was really good.

School and work

Had the Bio test today. Like the last Bio test we watched a weird video with a creepy German guy dissecting cadavers and it was pretty gross but gave me a little extra study time. After the test I headed to work. When I finished work some random guy who isn't a student at our school came in and started asking the counselors there the difference between "choice" and "select". The counselors being non-native speakers couldn't explain it well and asked me to help. He was just trying to get a free lesson and then pretended like he was interested in signing up before leaving. Guy was weird. For some reason it reminded me of when I worked in car sales and people would just come in and waste your time since they had nothing better to do.

Day off

It rained all day, so I didn't really do anything but study a little more for Bio and watch a movie.

Work and Onsen

Met up with Takehito in the morning like usual and then off to work. In the evening I headed out to Daiba where I met up with some friends and we went to the Onsen. After I got home I was pretty tired, but wound up staying up till about 2:00 anyhow.

School, Car Show, and Transformers

Headed to school like usual. After school some friends and I headed to Daiba and the

Tokyo Big Site to check out the Import Car Show there. The show was mostly European cars with some American S.U.V.'s and classic muscle cars. Friday was the first day, so I'm not sure if they had everything set up, but I think we were still able to check everything out before it closed. The show ended around 6 but we walked around looking at stuff till about 7. After that we all headed to Roppongi where we met up with some other friends to see the new Transformers movie. Some parts I thought were a little too cartoony, but overall I loved the movie.

School and study

School and work

Headed to school like usual, but for some reason I have a cold. So dumb. Anyhow after school I had work like usual and then after work I stopped over my friends house to help her with her computer trouble before heading home.

School and Rain

Headed to school today like usual. This morning when I left, It didn't really look like it was going to rain so I left my umbrella at home. But, by the time I got back to my home station it was pouring rain. I was able to make it halfway back to my house using the covered walkway and from there I ran down the street zig-zagging from awning to awning to minimize time in the rain. Then a girl who was walking by with an umbrella stopped and offered to share her umbrella and walk me to my apartment which was only a minute walk anyhow.

School and work

Had Bio like usual and then headed to work. It wasn't that busy today and I got Soba for dinner. Soba is just a wheat noodle that is served hot or cold and you dip it in a kind of soy sauce, but it's pretty good.

Work and going away party

Had work during the day in Kawasaki and when I got home I changed and headed out to Tamachi where I met up with Andrew, Mason, and his girlfriend for a last going away party before Andrew went back to the U.S. We went to a restaurant nearby for some drinks and then we all headed to Karaoke and another girl from school joined us. I know the lyrics for T-pain songs are bad, but when you sing them in Karaoke you realize ten times more how dumb they are.

Work, Food, and a Gundam

Headed to Takehito's like usual and then to work. After work I headed out to Daiba and met up with my old Host Family for dinner. After dinner I Andrew and I headed to the nearby park to check out my Gundam and also wound up stumbling upon an old school American car meet. The pic I have just shows lame Vetts, but they had a ton of stuff there from the 50's and 60's and was all in mint condition and all original. I don't know much about the older cars except that they were good back then. We met a guy who used to be a K-1 fighter and lived in Cali for a bit so he told us a bit about the scene and then I went home.

Day off and hanging out with friends

Today is a Temple Holiday, so I'm off from school. In the evening I met up with some friends and we all headed out to Daiba. We got some food there, walked around on the beach and played some games at the game center near by.

School and going out

Had class like usual but I forgot my phone at home, so after my first class I went home, got a haircut and my phone and headed back to school for my second class. In the evening I met up with Kana who I met at the MTV thing. We hung out in Shinjuku for a while and I kicked her butt in Mario Kart. In the evening I met up with six friends from school and we hit up Lex. My friend Josh has a friend visiting from the US. Since we all live in Japan, we all tend to use English with random Japanese thrown in, so without realizing it we said a lot of things that he didn't understand. Some phrases or words are just easier or shorter in Japanese. "Mendo" is short for "Mendokusai" which means troublesome. "Mendo" is a lot easier to say. In the morning we all hit up a Ramen shop near by and then headed home.

School and work like usual. Rainy season should be starting soon, so they have signs in the subways reminding people to mind their umbrella manners.

Work and Graduation Party

Today I worked in Ginza. During my break I when I was walking through the street I saw a group of Mexicans dressed as sailors standing in a group hitting on random girls who walked by. I'm still trying to figure out what that was all about, but it sure was funny. After work I headed to Shibuya and met up with some friends at a place called the Pink Cow where there was a small graduation party. It was pretty cool cause they had some good and not so good musicians playing there and a lot of food to snack on. It was pretty fun and as you can probably tell by this picture, some people had a little too much to drink.
