Headed to work like usual. In the evening I went to a wedding party and then home.

Met up with a friend in Roppongi today for lunch. We went to a place that served beef tongue. It was pretty good. After that I headed to work. Not sure why but this month has been really busy. I wound up finishing work around 10:40 and headed home.

Work and a movie

Headed to work and after work headed to Roppongi Hills where I met up with a friend to see Inception. It was pretty good and the concept was really cool but I think all the reviews I read and all the good comments I heard from other people set my expectations too high. I would recommend it for sure though. Very cool.

Headed to work like usual and then headed to Midtown and then stopped at the Konami store which just opened up. After that I headed to 57 nearby for a work party.

This is the current chart topping song this week. It's by a boy band called Arashi meaning "storm". You can see most of the members from this group doing various commercials thought Japan and they are often featured in the Nintendo Wii commercials here. I couldn't find an official music video for this one but they appeared on one of my favorite TV shows here called "Hey Hey Hey Music Champ" so this clip is from that show.

Kids English Summer Party

Today I headed to Yoyogi to the head office for a short training session and then back home before heading out to Hirai to help out at an English summer party for kids. It's fun, but some of those kids are crazy. After the teachers and I headed to Warawara in Hirai and then to Shibuya where we hung out at Hub till about 2 before heading home.

Ocean Day

Today is Ocean Day. It is a holiday which started in 1942 to commemorate the voyage of the Meiji Emperor in a boat around part of Japan.
In the evening I met up with some friends at the Grand Hyatt for a dinner party. It was pretty fun and offered all you can drink champagne, some wine, and good food. It started around 6:30 and we left around 9 or 9:30.

Work and shoes

Headed to work in Shinjuku today. After work I stopped at Big-B a shop that sells big shoes. I'm not sure if the shop got the name from the Down Beats song or the band got the name from the store. Either way they are one of the few shops in Japan that sell shoes my size.

Work and party

Headed to work like usual. Today was super hot and recently the air conditioner in my apartment broke so I've been going to work earlier to enjoy the air conditioner there. So sad. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon. In the evening some coworkers and I went out for food and then headed home.

Roppongi, Asakusa and Daiba

Met up with a friend today in Roppongi. It was super hot and we walked around the park there and then headed to Asakusa. The Sky Tree is more than half way done now. From there we headed to Daiba and test drove a Mark X at the Toyota Mega Web and then had dinner at Caress. Good times.

Headed to work like usual. On my lunch break I checked out the new F458. I didn't like it that much in pictures at first but after seeing it in person I'm a fan.

Work and a word

Headed to work today to make up for the Wednesday that I took off and then headed home. One word that is pretty interesting and funny here in Japan is ニューハーフ said "new half" meaning tranny. For some reason Japanese people find them interesting and say it's because they are interesting when they talk. For me it's just creepy, but I think the novelty has warn off as you don't see them on TV as much as in the past. The video is of a club in Osaka where they are showing the "most beautiful trannies" It's weird.

Headed to work like usual and then home. Again I'm a little late with the train manners poster this month. This one is about carrying your stuff so it's not crowding other people.

Tanabata and RX-7's

It's that day again. Tanabata, A.K.A. Japanese start festival. And like last year for me it was all about one thing. RX-7's. Around 6:30 I met up with some friends and we headed to Daikokufuto. The PA was full by 8:00 so it was a good thing we got there when we did. Some of the major tuners were there as well as some cars that were flat bedded in. It was raining off and on which kinda sucked, but it was still cool. We left Daikoku around 9:00 and drove around the C1 stopping at Shibaura and Tatsumi to check any cars we missed. Since it was raining we headed home early and I got home by midnight. I will have the video up in a couple days.

Work and work

Headed back to the studio in Chofu for another job. I just worked behind the scenes on this one but I met and worked with Kimura Takuya, one of the biggest stars in Japan. I was there for about 2 hours and then headed back home. Kimura was a pretty cool guy and seemed a lot nicer than some other talents I've worked with in the past.

Anyhow, in the evening I headed to work like usual and then home again.

Takin' it easy

Today was really slow so instead of work I met up with some friends in Roppongi for dinner and then headed home.

Work and party

Today I had a different job than usual. I headed to Daimon around 11:40, met up with my agent again and we went to a studio there. There were two model girls there. I did some simple translations for them since they were only in Japan for a few months. The models put on some dresses and had pictures taken. It took an hour and then I headed home.
In the evening I met up with Jon in Shinjuku for a party. The party ended around 11 and then we headed to Shibuya and hung out there till last train.

Long Day

Had work in the evening. Headed to Shinjuku where I met up with my agent and then went to Chofu and the studio there. After we got there and checked in we put our stuff in my room and headed to the cafeteria which was catered. They had Taco Rice, Salad, and a bunch of other stuff. The taco rice was really good. After eating I got a base level of make up and then waited around for a couple hours. They gave me the first moustache and took a couple pictures but the color didn't match my hair or it had to be scrapped for another moustache. Then I got into costume and waited around for another hour or so. Finally I headed to the set, did the shot, and then back up to make up to get it removed and get out of costume. Finally around 4am I got a taxi home. Good times, but it was a long day.

Career Fair and Work

Headed to the career fair at Big Site and then work like usual.
