Recently in Japan they decided to throw 100,000 floating solar powered LED's into Sumida river and let them float around. It was supposed to invoke thoughts of fireflies, and maybe it does, but I think it just looks cool. Check out the time lapse video below. The tower in the middle is the newly opened Tokyo Sky Tree, the tallest building in Japan.

Hi Mark!
My name is Mai and I stumbled across your blog after doing a search for bloggers who live in Japan and taught at Gaba Corporation. I saw that you worked with them in 2007 but after reading over your newer posts, you have a different job and have even appeared in commercials with celebrities. I'm going to Japan at the end of November with Gaba and was wondering how you liked your experience with them. Also, how did you transition from teaching English to the career that you have in Japan now?
Thank you for taking the time to blog about your life in Japan!
Kind Regards,
Mai
